Photos from Presto

For the most part, photos in In-Depth begin in Presto. Captions and credits are written/edited in Presto and the images are placed into the story. Caption and credit overrides in Presto will appear in In-Depth.

Captions and credits

Captions and credits can be hidden for both videos and images. Normally, captions are turned on, and they will truncate after about 150 characters (with a "see more" link available). This uses the same logic as our mobile web article pages.

Caption and credit each can be suppressed, but should done sparingly. Only when they're going to interrupt the flow of the story.

Zoooooom

By default, a zoom icon appears in the bottom-right corner of in-depth images in mobile views. Clicking on the image opens a modal with a full-size image the user can pinch-zoom and pan to examine the image in greater detail. The feature can be disabled on a per-image basis or globally for the story.

Options

There are no require options for images.
